Weekend outdoor inspiration may 7, 2021

Spring wildflowers are still going strong so don’t forget your cameras!

Here is the WEEKEND OUTDOOR INSPIRATION to get out and stay out!

HIKING

Hilton Falls Trail, Hilton Falls Conservation Area
This is a 3km (round trip) trail that brings you right to the falls and the mill ruins. The ruins is an old saw mill that was destroyed by fire and abandoned in 1967. It’s an easy trail, mostly flat. It’s an out and back trail. Reservations required click here

Macdui Drive Access Trail, Bruce Trail, Stoney Creek
This is a 3km out and back trail. Access this trail at Macdui Dr (close to Dundee Dr) in Stoney Creek, take this short trail to the main Bruce Trail and turn left, take the main Bruce Trail to the Jones Rd side trail. At this point there are some logs to sit on and streams near by the kids can play in. This is the 1.5km mark (approx.) so you can turn back to make the 3km round trip or keep going if you’d like a longer hike.
